Clara earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a minor in Psychology from San José State University. She began studying music at age six and later won multiple awards at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival in piano, voice, and flute. As an experienced accompanist, she has supported ensembles in rehearsals, performances, and competitions locally and internationally. During her time with SJSU’s top chamber singers, Clara performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, Benaroya Hall in Seattle, and toured in Spain and Portugal.
In 2025, Clara completed Level 1 training in elementary music pedagogy through the American Orff Schulwerk Association and became certified by the Royal Conservatory of Music to teach elementary piano. These qualifications help her teach with a structured curriculum that keeps lessons engaging and fun. Clara also serves as a choir director for local elementary schools and churches. With more than five years of private teaching experience, she believes every student can discover their own voice through music. Her lessons are personalized to each student, building confidence through recitals and success in ABRSM and RCM exams. Clara is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
